Having Trouble Chatting?
There are a couple of reasons you might not be able to type a specific word or words:
If you are using either Safe or Restricted chat and are unable to say certain words, then you have just discovered the Animal Jam safety chat filter! Animal Jam supports a clean and safe environment for all players, and we’re constantly updating our chat filtering system by adding and removing words. If you think a word is being filtered that doesn’t need to be, you can let us know by emailing us at safety@animaljam.com.
Did you know that there are 3 different kinds of chat options for all Jammers?
New accounts start out with Restricted Chat, which allows you to type from a pre-selected dictionary of words.
If you can’t type chat, but you can see other Jammers’ chat, it means that your account is set up with our Bubble Chat option.
Safe (Free) Chat must be enabled by a parent.
If you want Safe Chat, you will need to ask your mom or dad to help set
this up for you. They can learn how to do that by clicking here.
In the meantime, you can use tons of different words in the
Restricted chat dictionary, Bubble Chat messages, and emotes provided to
speak with your animal friends! There are also animal actions like dancing, sleeping, and playing so you can express yourself!

A Beginner’s Guide To Jam-A-Grams
Did you know that Jamaa has its very
own mail system? These messages are called Jam-A-Grams, and they are an
easy and fun way to send buddies a custom postcard. New Jam-A-Gram
themes are released often to celebrate whatever might be happening in
Jamaa. Below are instructions for how to send and receive Jam-A-Grams.
How to Send a Jam-A-Gram
Click on the mail icon at the top left corner of your screen.
Now click the create button at the bottom left.
Or, to reply to a Jam-A-Gram, click on the button on the top right.
If you’re starting fresh, you’ll need to choose a buddy from your buddy list. Next, choose the postcard you think your buddy would like best by pressing the arrows on the right and left. We add new designs all the time, so check back often!
You can also change the stamp by clicking this button:
And attach a gift if you’d like, by clicking this button:
Remember, if you gift an item it will be sent from your account to your buddy’s account, so don’t send anything you don’t want to lose. Also keep in mind that only members can accept gifts sent to them from other Jammers.
If you have a Club membership, you can click on the message bar and type what you want to say. Animal Jam supports a clean and safe world for all players, so personalized Jam-A-Grams go through the Animal Jam safe chat filter to keep them fun and friendly. For more information on the rules for safe Jam-A-Grams, click this icon:
If you don’t have a membership, choose what you want to say by selecting a phrase from the messages list, which is the button with the blue plus sign. Then, click the send button in the lower right corner.
Your Jam-A-Gram is now on its way!
If you want to send a Jam-A-Gram to a fellow Jammer who isn’t on your buddy list, click on their animal name to get their Player Card. Click on the Send a Jam-A-Gram button.
Then follow the steps listed above to send them a super cool personalized Jam-A-Gram!
How to Receive a Jam-A-Gram
You can see if someone has sent you a Jam-A-Gram by clicking on the mail icon at the top left of your screen.
This will open your mailbox. You can see who sent you the Jam-A-Gram, as well as how many Jam-A-Grams you have in your mailbox. When you have a new Jam-a-Gram, the white envelope icon will light up to let you know you’ve got mail. It will also show how many unread Jam-a-Grams you’ve got waiting for you.
If someone has sent you a gift, you’ll see a picture of a present in the top left corner of your Jam-A-Gram.
Click on it to open it up! You can then choose whether to keep the item or discard it. However, you will not be able to accept the gift if you don’t have a Club membership. But don’t worry! Keep the gift in your mailbox and it will be available to you as soon as you upgrade to a member account.
Here are some more helpful hints that will make you a pro with Jamaa’s mail system in no time:
Flip through all of your mail by using the arrow keys to the left and right of your postcards. And if you ever want to delete any of your cards, just click on the blue recycle button on the bottom right of your screen.
If you click on the recycle button by mistake, don’t worry! Each time you click it, a pop-up will ask you if you are sure you want to delete that Jam-A-Gram. If you decided you don’t want to delete the card after all, you can simply click no!

How To Report A Jam-A-Gram
We take the safety and security
of all of our Jammers very seriously, and we are happy to let you know
that we have highly trained moderators available 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week to monitor all activities in Jamaa. If we find any Jammers
breaking the Animal Jam Rules, we will be take swift and appropriate action on their account.
When someone sends a Jam-A-Gram that breaks the Animal Jam Rules, please feel free to let us know by reporting them. Click the button that looks like a police badge on the right side of the Jam-A-Gram.
After that, just follow the instructions that pop up to submit the report. You can also find the report button by clicking on the sender’s Player Card at the bottom of the Jam-A-Gram.
If you have reported this player and they continue to send Jam-A-Grams that break the Animal Jam rules, did you know there’s a tool you can use so you never receive Jam-A-Grams from that player again? To use this tool, simply click on their Player Card (at the bottom of the message), then click this button:
By doing so, you will no longer see this player’s Jam-A-Grams, and you can enjoy the rest of your time in Jamaa.

Sending personalized Jam-A-Grams is a feature available for Jammers that have purchased a Club membership and have restricted or safe chat enabled on their account. Members have some exclusive permissions, including receiving gifts via Jam-A-Grams, the ability to purchase items in various colors, adopting pets, the ability to access the member-only items in our shops, and writing personalized Jam-A-Grams.
This is simply our way of thanking them for their contributions. The money that members pay not only helps keep Animal Jam going, but also makes it possible for us to keep adding cool new things to Jamaa for everyone to enjoy! You can find more information about Club Memberships by clicking here.

Other News...
I know this has nothing to do with animal jam but it is appropriate. If you dislike it I promise this is a one off.
LEGO Minifigures, the collectable rarish minfigures, have launched their 10th series, but it has a twist! It has a twist because their is a super rare figure to find called 'Mr Gold', yes he is gold and is worth over £500 (for you Americans that is nearly $700!)! I am pretty proud of my country since between us (on our tiny little island) we have found 68 already compared to the whole of north America with only about 50! As soon as I have finished this post I am going to beg for my parents to take me to our local super market! Here is a photo of what he looks like! Pretty cool, huh?
